​It starts from observation and a deliberate choice of concrete themes: the body, the landscape, and vernacular architecture.

What interests me is the relationship between figure and space. People, environments, and elements are part of a visual repertoire that draws from popular culture, the urban landscape, and what I recognize as identity. Color organizes the image and defines the rhythm of the painting.

 

The tropical emerges naturally in my work, in the colors, the vegetation, and the atmosphere of the scenes. Not as an isolated theme, but as an integral part of how I construct each image.
